Mrs. Montini's Kindergarten students had a blast melting ice on Monday! They tested water vs. salt water to observe which would cause ice to melt faster. What a great way to make science hands-on and fun!
A few of our teachers tried a new teaching strategy in their classrooms to kick off the new year: Snowball Fight. What a fun way to engage your students! Mrs. Barnette's 2nd Grade Class Mrs. McCarty's 3rd Grade Class Mrs. Cummings' 2nd Grade Class Snowball Fight is a teaching strategy that uses a lively game to encourage students to determine and communicate the big ideas from a selected digital resource. Students write the big ideas on paper and, in a most fun and engaging way, trade ideas and add more of their own.
Ms. Napolitano's students are designing and building landforms to show what they have learned during their science unit. Students could explain their landform designs based on the characteristics of each landform. Awesome hands-on learning!
