Mrs. McAulay and Mrs. Eppes co-taught the Paper Chat strategy with Japanese American Internment Camps. They worked together to develop the lesson. It was a powerful lesson with the kids incredibly engaged in the discussion. What an awesome example of a STEAM strategy used with Social Studies curriculum!

Ms. Kusterman, Ms. Wolljung and Ms. Castaldo teamed up to have their students create costumes to hide their turkeys (based off a book they read). What a great way to incorporate the 4 C's of STEAM and literacy!
Students in Ms. Kusterman's class worked together to code their Bee Bot to follow the story line of their Thanksgiving story. What a great way to incorporate coding, collaboration and communication with literacy! #OPES_STEAM
First grade teachers planned a BreakOUT for their students during these two days before Thanksgiving Break. What a great way to incorporate STEAM and review of what we have learned so far this year! Ms. Curtis's students had a great start to their BreakOUT!
